Slug and Jiggers Lg Commissioned Display

Commissioned Slug and Jiggers Display.
Well I'm so happy to show off this unit. It took me a long time too make, with so many little details inside it. It was made for my friend Michelle for her great Diagon Alley Shop.

Take a look through her blog you will be so inspired!!

The unit was made by combining separate pieces together. It is now completely one unit. Painted black, distressed, stained and then sealed.

Oh how I love to stack and make messes.
Spaces were left open on the unit so that Michelle could display her own items. I really had to hold myself back from filling them. Mr Jiggers is a real pack rat!!

I designed special invoices for Slug and Jiggers. These stacks took me hours to make, there are even a few different styles of invoices. See if you can spot them.

Twist and turny books, a signature stocking method of mr Jiggers.

I hope you have enjoyed looking through my pictures. This is by far my favourite piece i have created so far. It's such a pleasure to work in this scale and so rewarding to work with such amazing people in the 1/12 world.

Jennifer

  17. I have to say this is the most spectacular and wonderful miniature ive ever set eyes on Jenn, its just a true work of art!!! How you parted with it Ill never know but it couldnt have gone to a lovlier person so its in the next best place eh! Love it all to bits, such incredible detail. Clever Clever you!! Do you think you will ever make papers in bundles like this to add to your Etsy shop for people who put their own shops together? I think if you sold seperates, bundles of papers, parcels etc with your own differing labels they would go down a storm! Kate xxxx

    1. I agree Kate, if Jenn made separate pieces to sell peeps would love that! Some people will already have their shop fittings and then wouldn't need a piece made like this made. To be able to buy stacks of papers, bottles etc., and/or or small piece settings would enable them to make their own set pieces. Of course with different names/labels (maybe Jenn could incorporate that in the option when you purchase?). ;o)

I've asked Jenn for separate pieces for my own shop, so maybe she can use me as the guinea pig with this type of thing? :o)))

    2. Can I third third this was Kate and Michelle.. I know I've already spoken to jenn about a stack of packages for Honeydukes and I can't wait to get those started for the summer :)
I feel the exact same though, I think selling smaller bundles would be brilliant as like Kate and Michelle have said, some people already have furniture/ have their own overall style.. I love all the paper as they really fill up the spaces and just add to the cramped and cluttered feel of diagon alley, and such a great idea with what Michelle suggested by adding custom labels to personalise. I would definitely purchase some smaller pieces like this!

As for the piece. I know I've emailed both you, Jenn and Michelle and I too can honestly say I have never seen anything so incredible before!
      It's just fantastic!

  20. What an amazing piece - difficult to believe it's a miniature. I love the finish on the cabinetry and all the little curled up bundles. It's an item certainly to be proud of.

  22. I was browsing the web, looking for inspiration for distressing an old black dresser that I've been working on, when I stumbled across this page.

I had NO idea that I was looking at a miniature set-up.

I figured it out when I followed a link to Michelle's blog. My mind was blown by what it must've taken to ship all of this.

(Yes, I was just looking at pictures)

Then she showed a photo taken from a distance and I finally figured it out.

I came back here and went through the pictures again - looking for flaws.

    Honey, there aren't any!

    This is an unbelievable piece.

    Just incredible.
